Creative Designer & Social Media Manager
Part-time | 20 hours per week (with growth potential) | Hawke’s Bay
We're looking for a proactive and creative team member to join our growing design and marketing studio.
This role blends design, social media management and marketing, perfect for someone who thrives on variety and has the initiative to push ideas beyond.
We work with a range of clients, from lifestyle and hospitality to product-based and service businesses across NZ and Australia, so no two days are the same. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values initiative, creative thinking, and getting things done.

Part-time contractor role (approx. 20 hours per week)
Likely to grow as the studio expands
Ideal availability: Tuesday–Thursday (in person Tuesday’s)
Must be HB-based and comfortable collaborating remotely at times

Design marketing collateral using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Plan, manage and schedule content across multiple client social media accounts
Collaborate with the team to deliver creative assets for brand launches, events, and campaigns
Update and maintain client websites (Squarespace)
Track engagement and share ideas to grow brand and social presence with our communities

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign essential)
Experience with Meta (+ Meta Ads desirable but not essential)
Experience with social media management (agency or in-house)
Intermediate-level skills in graphic design and writing
Experience with Squarespace
Strong eye for detail and ability to think both creatively, critically and beyond the normal
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
Proactive, curious, and eager to grow with the brand

Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite such as Illustrator and Photoshop, Canva, or equivalent)
Strong understanding of branding and design principles
Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently on short timelines
Copywriting or content creation experience (desirable but not essential)
